 Glass Act bar bottle recycling program
Ohio Galvanizing’s sponsorship of the Glass Act bar bottle recycling program with the Marion County Recycling and Litter Prevention (MCRLP) agency paid handsome dividends in 2011. Without our matching grant financial and marketing/branding investment, this environmental stewardship recycling project may never have come to be. Instead, the program flourished, and currently generates 2 1/2 tons of glass a week, and has become a state model. The program, which we named, received awards from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the National Glass Packaging Institute.
